The solar flyer is in my place of job at work sitting on the window sill. It works nice every time direct sunlight comes in the route of the window. Since the propeller is powered by sun cells, it's unrealistic to expect it to work smartly under incandescent or florescent lighting. Although mine arrived intact, I believe the other reviewers who now noted that the pieces should no longer packaged securely within the box.

This is an ideal toy for young and old! As a mother or father, these are the toys to get to stimulate your kid's interest in Math and Science! I am purchasing a 2nd for myself on the grounds that both the kid and grownup in me nonetheless appreciates the simpleness in design and the distinguished and brilliant creativity of science meets play! I am just amazed that there usually are no longer enough similar toys in the market available for our children
The simplest down side is that of the three that I purchased thru Amazon, the primary two had a point of defect. In the first field, I discovered the propeller just a little bent and one of the most pieces that was once intended to have a publish pushed thru it was no longer permitting the piece to move thru. I had to use some devices to widen the opening so the post may slide on through. Also, it appears the content materials had moved around rather significantly all via delivery. I was as quickly as ready to fix it myself and once I did, it was a fantastic toy to watch!
The 2nd box was in worst condition. The propeller used to be present in two items, it is made of cheap plastic and I assume all the actions of local pieces in the box all over delivery allowed the content materials to lead to some damage to the propeller piece. The item was once lower back to Amazon.
The Solar Flier IS sturdy once it's pieced together, I imagine the problem was once with the delivery. Each individual piece is of heavy metallic excluding for the propeller and that was the susceptible link in all of this. My recommendion is that you recommend to the seller to ensure the pieces are secured down prior to transport, even if it means he wants to add tape to the contents.

First of all, the product box used to be just inserted into the delivery without a padding. Second, it didn't work at all. Third, it's poorly made and appears it. Do not purchase this product.
