I cherished trains as a kid, so when I had a boy I went nuts buying things to give a boost to and raise my sons picket teach play set. The drawback was, with just a few dogs in the home and a high energy little on, I spent all of my time constructing teach layouts that had been easily knocked over and my son (then 2 now 4) struggled to rebuild with out assist. If best I may spend an entire day putting in educates with my son, but one in all us has to be the grown up :) Then there have been the issues with him taking them outside the place solar and rain would ruin the timber pieces, including the teachs. Then I discovered the take-n-play model......they are durable, the dogs are bored to death in destroying it, the plastic track works inside of or out and clips collectively simply so he can construct and destroy it as ceaselessly as his creativeness lets him. Plus with the die cast metal educates, like this Bill and Ben, they're going to remaining so lengthy as hot wheels do, which implys that I could have a big train set to position in the attic for my grandchildren some day.
This can be the most competitively priced of all the Thomas units.

Bill & Ben are twin tank engines who work for the "Sodor China Clay Co.", as smartly as at the harbor. They enjoy playing methods and are slightly ornery to the opposite engines... a bit naughty and troublesome! They're vivid yellow with mild yellow "S C C" (for Sodor China Clay) lettering on each aspect of their tanks, as smartly as light yellow "BRENDAM BAY" lettering in a semi-circle above their faces; additionally they have their names printed in mild yellow against brown on either aspect of their boilers, purple linings and bases, with brown panels round their cabs and mild gray cab roofs; every has four black wheels. Bill & Ben first appeared in TV Season 2 (1986), Episode 21 ("The Diseasel"), and had been one of the crucial first three "Buddy Packs" on Take-n-Play's original (Spring 2010) Collector Checklist (listed underneath "Two Packs" on the "final" 2010 and 2011 Collector Checklists). With Fisher-Price's October 2012 MSRPs of $10 & $11 for their 2 packs, they are well price it (I paid $10.99 for my grandson's and do not be apologetic about it!)
It's fun to assemble the two packs - there are 15 of them as of October 2012, and they're (in order of introduction): Annie & Clarabel, Toby & Flora, Thomas & the Treasure, Bill & Ben, Pop Goes Thomas, Kevin's Helping Hook, Scruff's Dirty Job, Thomas at the Spring Fair, Thomas & the Summer Festival, Victor & Oil Cargo, Thomas to the Rescue, Iron 'Arry's Oily Mess, Scruff's Dirty Mess, Thomas at the Halloween Celebration, and Thomas at the Winter Festival. A paint-splattered model of Bill is additionally integrated in the Sodor Paint Shop playset.
A little of our own "Thomas" historical past... As first time grandparents, my husband and I needed to start some kind of collection for our grandson that he might be able to cross alongside to his personal youngsters at some point. Our grandson was 2 1/2 at the time, and had been talking quite a bit a few certain teach named Thomas (a little fella whom - now seems laborious to believe! - we'd by no means heard of.) After doing a little analysis, it seemed the Take-n-Play line may neatly be the best funding to have interaction and encourage hellos active creativeness, as well as provide a fun manner for us to have interaction with him. What a worthwhile resolution...

I am so happy with my purchase. The vendor shipped the "Bill and Ben" teachs straight away. They came within the mail very at once and were packaged neatly. Also, it's arduous to search out these sectionicular trains at any of the shops. Therefore, my Grandson was once overjoyed when he bought them! I would recommend to any person.
