My kids, ages 8, 7, 6 and three love this cardboard ship. We ordered it round Thanksgiving and the youngersters colored it in and named it the Mayflower. They even placed on a Thanksgiving play the utilization of it. It came with markers and directions. The meeting handiest took about 20-30 minutes. The directions were OK -- just a little exhausting to make out as a consequence of they are in black and white and the contrast of the printing wasn't nice. As far as sturdiness goes, it is made of cardboard so don't are expecting miracles. The kids can crush, bend and tear it. This is predicted from a cardboard toy.

My 2 and 5 year-old boys love this ship! I accept as authentic with the opposite reviewer that mentioned the assembly directions depart a little bit to be desired, but I eventually obtained it discovered. I bolstered the under-side of the ship with duct tape to maintain it collectively after which used clear packing tape on just a few different seen spots which are topic to put on and tear (the again door and the guidance wheel). It took two grownups twenty minutes to put it together. It smells as cardboard and for those delicate to chemicals it will lead to some pain, it has handed per week now and it higher odors.
Now to the enjoyable part, my son plays with it daily and he discovers the seas, caves, sea creatures and new vocabulary about pirates and scientific discoveries concerning the ocean.
We play collectively and even the canine has enjoyable with it (under supervision), the canine can stick his head through the cannon holes :) my son pretends he is a monster octopus :) and there we go in pursuit! Argh!
We have now not painted it but however the pens that got here with the equipment are on no account enough, I am now not certain yet what type of paint we shall be ready to use.
Overall it is a nice toy, and it is highly instructional.
