They advertise this as a microphone. What it in level of fact is is a microphone-shaped speaker. When plugged into the iPod, it amplifies the song - not the user's voice. My six-year-old revel ins taking part in with it, nevertheless it doesn't do what it says it does.

My little woman decideed this out with money she got for her 6th birthday, and she was so excited to sing into a microphone with her favourite Mp3s. She ripped it out of the bundle in anticipation, and was once so upset when she discovered that it can be a speaker, now not a microphone at all. Which could be wonderful, if there have been ANYTHING on the packaging or description that states that it is a speaker. But it's now not called the Barbie Speaker, it is known as the Barbie Microphone. My little woman is getting her first lesson in misleading product advertising and marketing. She was so dissatisfied, especially on the grounds that she spent her own cash on it.

My 5 year old acquired this for her birthday and she or he loves it. However, the microphone would not in level of fact work.. it's extra like an inexpensive speaker. AND the music "I'm a Barbie Girl" by way of Aqua is the tune which is played. The original Aqua track has REALLY adult lyrics, now not at ALL acceptable for youngersters to be emulating. Also the Mp3 possibility turns off every 2-3 minutes, so if you decide a track that goes longer or you need to do a few musics in a row, you should keep resetting it. As much as my daughter loves this toy, I am planning to get it away from her asap and get her every other one for Christmas that works better and that is more age applicable.
